While
KPGA Rules and Regulations are still being formulated, below are the key
rules governing the play among KPGA members. KPGA Specific Rules (Updated July
2008): There have been changes to rules/guidelines to govern the play
when KPGA members are playing together as a group: -
NO MULLIGANS WILL BE ALLOWED GOING FORWARD ON ANY KPGA
GAME!!! -
WITHIN A FOURSOME, EVERY MEMBER WILL KEEP THE SCORE OF THE
NEXT MEMBER IN THE GROUP. This has been introduced to capture honest and
accurate scoring, While this format of scoring will be followed for the
annual tournament games, it is recommended that we get used to this approach
even for our weekly outings as well. -
Vijay ji has graciously accepted the responsibility of calculating
the handicap for every member based on the games played during the season.
The method of calculating the handicap follows USGA rules and will be published to the players for their
records and information. This handicap
will be used during the annual tournament. -
For the annual tournament game, members will play the
rounds strictly without any mulligans or special strokes. At the end of the
game, the handicap of the player will be deducted from his score to arrive at
the net score. -
For 2008 tournament two rounds are being played and at the
end of each round the net score for the round will be used, using the above
method. At the end of round two, the individual scores will be added to
determine the overall rankings. -
Note: If for some
reason a player is not able to play both the rounds the score of the round
played will be doubled when determining the overall rankings. |
