Course Etiquette:

On the Course:

The following extracts from the Rules of Golf, together with certain local rules, govern the conduct of play upon the Course.

-          Courtesy on the Course: In the interest of all, players should play without delay. On the fairway or green study your shot and be ready to play immediately when it is your turn. In social play, "ready" golf is encouraged.

-          No player should play until the players in front are out of range.

-          Players searching for a ball should signal the players behind them to pass as soon as it becomes apparent that the ball will not easily be found. They should not search for five minutes before doing so.

-          When the play of a hole has been completed, players should immediately leave the putting green and proceed to the next tee before recording scores.

-          Priority on the Course: If a match fails to keep its pace on the Course and loses more than one clear hole on the players in front, it must allow the match following to pass through.

-          Players observing a clear hole ahead of the group in front may request to play through. Such a request must be honored.

-          Equally, if a match is waved through by the players in front, that match has the obligation to play through without delay.

-          A single player has no standing and should give way to a match of any kind.

-          Twosomes on the Course, including match play tournaments, are only allowed at the discretion of the Starter.
